About Us

Copelli Formaggi was born from the heritage of a great passion passed down from generation to generation: that for the research and selection of genuine products, deeply linked with the traditions and the territory in which they are born. This is the starting point of a catalogue that represents the enormous gastronomic richness of Italian cheeses, a selection begun over a century ago and refined year after year in order to identify the most serious dairies and the most representative products of each region.

1920

Luigi Copelli, supported by his wife Ida, starts the trade of Grana Padano and Parmigiano Reggiano. An activity that Ida, despite being widowed very early on, continues with great commitment and passion.

1952

Bruno, Ida’s son, becomes part of the Company and immediately inherits the experience gained in the family. With his wife Elda, Bruno achieves the idea of opening near Mantua the first store of typical cheeses, selected by themselves with extreme care.

1980

These are the years in which Bruno decides to add to the very important work of selection that of aging: only for some references he decides to build a place dedicated to the seasoning process.

1995

We are at the third generation Copelli, his son Marco starts the business embracing all the ideals of the company and developing the selection of typical cheeses. Product after product, he refines its search for small artisanal dairies and typical references.

Today

Copelli Formaggi today is synonymous with quality and reliability. With its wide selection it presents a catalogue that offers the enormous variety of Italian cheeses, products and artisans that still work today with high quality standards.

Our history is what we are most proud of: three generations dedicated to research and the desire to offer the best product and service. A history of over a century marked by passion and dedication to good cheese.

It is never a single solution, but many possibilities that are explored together to design and create the best service for each customer. We never adopt standard patterns, but what we are committed to offer every day is dedicated responses to each specific situation.

The after-sales service is as important as the sale, which is why our customer care service never stops, pursuing the ambition to become a real point of reference for both dairies and customers. The proof of this is the time we have had a business relationship with many of them.
